The Outdoor Area of the
Manfred Sauer Foundation
On the extensive, barrier-free foundation area there are different movement and resting stations, which can be used by our guests.
Our outdoor facilities offer strolling paths in the garden, past the pond, chicken house and greenhouse with raised beds.
Sports activities are possible on the covered boules court or on the 500 m long asphalt track with gradients from 4.3% to 5.4% or on the Finnenbahn, which is suitable for runners, walkers and handbikers.
In addition, the forest is right on the doorstep and around the Manfred Sauer Foundation there are various hiking trails and bicycle and handbike tours.
Many people associate boule with holiday memories from France: fun with friends, a glass of red wine, enjoying life.
Boule is for everyone. Whether pedestrian or wheelchair user, whether large or small. At first the game is easy to learn, but with time tactics and technology join in. The focus is on exercise in the fresh air, sociability and fun. Boule also trains concentration, body control and hand-eye coordination. The constant alternation of bending and straightening strengthens the coordinative abilities and also has therapeutic effects.
Our barrier-free, covered boules court not only protects you from the sun but also allows you to play in less good weather. A boules set can be borrowed at the reception against a deposit and our restaurant "Die Küche" provides red wine or other refreshments.
So you can let the balls roll at any time - with or without beret!
